About Fynd
Fynd is a frontier technology company. We started at the intersection of technology and retail because that is where technology was the least available. Over the years, we became one of India’s largest retail technology platforms. But retail was the entry point, not the boundary.
Today, Fynd builds intelligent software that runs business operations. Not tools that help people work faster, but systems that absorb entire functions: manufacturing, marketing, logistics, commerce, quality control. We sit inside our customers’ businesses, harvest deep domain context, and build AI systems that operate autonomously. We are expanding from retail into manufacturing, generative media, physical AI, and healthcare.
Role Overview
Lead the Quality Engineering function for a large-scale commerce platform, defining and executing an automation-first, AI-native quality strategy that improves release confidence, platform reliability, and customer experience. This role drives shift-left quality practices, CI/CD quality gates, and production observability across OMS, WMS, storefronts, APIs, and event-driven systems while building and mentoring a high-performing QA organization.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise Quality Engineering vision, roadmap, and operating model for the commerce platform.
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performing QE team with strong hiring, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning practices.
- Establish automation-first and AI-native QA practices, including self-healing test frameworks and synthetic data strategies.
- Implement and govern CI/CD quality gates across build, test, and deployment pipelines in partnership with engineering and DevOps teams.
- Drive comprehensive testing across microservices, APIs, event streams, OMS, WMS, storefronts, and third-party integrations.
- Own performance, load, and resilience validation using appropriate tools and methodologies to ensure production readiness.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, SRE, and Operations to shift quality left and improve observability, incident prevention, and release health.
- Develop metrics and dashboards to track quality trends, test effectiveness, defect leakage, and overall engineering excellence.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
- 10–15 years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or QA leadership
- Proven experience building and scaling QA or QE teams in a complex product or platform environment
- Hands-on expertise in automation-first testing across UI, API, integration, and regression layers
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and embedding quality gates into release processes
- Strong background in testing distributed systems, microservices, and third-party integrations
Preferred
- Experience with AI-native testing, LLM testing, or self-healing test frameworks
- Exposure to commerce platforms such as OMS, WMS, storefronts, or order lifecycle systems
- Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog
- Familiarity with synthetic data generation and production monitoring practices
- Prior experience leading quality transformation in a high-growth technology organization
